God bless Neveldine/Taylor. They’ve successfully brought to the US Gonzo Japanese film making that the likes of Takashi Miike and the people behind the gore fests Machine Girl and Tokyo Gore Police have given to Japan. Crank 2, their last film, was so deliciously over the top and fun that I think I got diabetes from it!
Now that they’re on the top of my FILMMAKERS TO WATCH list, I’ll proudly whore their works here.
The first thing being pimped, why its the trailer for their new film, GAMER. It stars King Leonidas, Dexter, Peter Petrelli, The Chick in DRAG ME TO HELL, Goliath from Gargoyles, The Pest, Pedro and the dude who fucked up 2 Fast 2 Furious. It looks like Running Man humped Battle Royale then bricked in Trons mouth. And that sounds fantastic.
Gamer opens roughly September 24th.
