Various reputable news outlets have confirmed that Michael Jackson has died. After suffering an apparent heart attack, Jackson was rushed to UCLA medical center, and despite medical professionals’ best efforts, his body was unresponsive to resuscitation.
Jackson has recently been rehearsing for a fifty-show residency at London’s O2 Arena. He apparently collapsed due to full cardiac arrest. A 911 call from his Holmby Hills home was made at 12:21 PM. An LAFD captain said Jackson was not breathing when paramedics arrived. Tabloid organization TMZ was first to report his death, but most other news outlets waited for more solid confirmation, which came at about 3:45 PM.
The Jackson family has not yet released a statement, and his official site has not been updated.
