Castlevainia NOT SO DEAD after all!

Huh.  Well, I guess I spoke to soon.  Just mere months after being pronounced DOA, Castlevaina, much like its big boss Dracula, rose from the dead!

According to Bloody Disgusting, James Wan, director of  Dead Silence and Death Sentence and the co creator of the SAW movies, has come aboard to co write and direct the movie.

This is relativity good news.  The Castlevainia series is one of the few series to span mulit systems with constant quality games (well, maybe not the 64 version)  I’m a fan of the first two Saw films, and really enjoyed the hell out of Death Sentence. I think that the film is in much better hands.

It also appears that the Paul W.S. Anderson script will not be used and that Wan plans on incorporating one of the major parts of the game, THE CHAIN WHIP!  Which, is bad ass.

I hope that this is at least an R rated film, because a balls out Castlevania is just what the doctor ordered!
