Sigh, so we’re already 8 episodes into this 4th season of Heroes and man does it BLOW! This was one of the shows I was REALLY looking forward to this season. I will be the first to admit that last season was a bit lackluster and I don’t even count season 2 because of the writer’s strike (they get a mulligan for that one). However the last 4 episodes of season 3 had great promise. Those episodes kept me on the edge of my seat and had me drooling for more. The icing on the cake was killing off Nathan! How f*cking awesome was that? They went back to their season one formula- Jaw dropping episode finales & no one is safe. These were the things I loved about Heroes.
Season 4 has now begun and is in full swing and I can only say that Monday nights between 9pm-10pm I am left with the most excruciating migrane known to man. This show has become an outright annoyance to watch. They have yet to explain the purpose of the carnies, Ray Park was willfully wasted, and why the hell is Claire not dead yet. All the wrong things are being done this season. If I could give the writers & producers one piece of advice, it would be to do the opposite of whatever they’re instincts are. Maybe then this show will be good again. Bringing Madeline Zima on from Californication (where she is diabolically great) only to give us psuedo lesbianesque scenes with Claire are so retarded I cannot find words to express my anger. What a waste of someone (Madeline Zima) with some real talent. Really Heroes? You’re gonna go for the lowest common denominator in order to try and grab ratings? The majority of your audience isn’t 12 years old. We require actual content, not side boob and girls kissing. If they keep things going at this rate the show will be cancelled by NBC by the end of the year. Not possible you say? Well NBC has already cancelled their new medical drama Trauma, so you can bet Heroes will be next on the short list. You need more proof?

It’s been reported on Deadline Hollywood Daily that later this season Heroes will be killing off a key character! Wait for it… Nathan Petrelli! Yes, the character they killed off at the end of season 3 will be (somehow?) killed again! OMG, WHAT A SHOCKER! What it comes down to is that Adrian Pasdar is being forced out/ off the show. Apparently flying isn’t as cool as acid tripping colors that are generated when a deaf woman plays a piano. Seriously? For Sylar’s sake, kill off Hiro and/or Claire. They are dragging the show down big time. Give Peter back his REAL power and have Sylar go all ape shit and start killing people again. Have Mohinder start narrating again and give all these people a purpose to come together to stop Sylar or something worse. I guess what I’m ultimately trying to say is…
FIX IT!!!
If you can’t then just send the Haitian to erase my memory of this once great show.
