From Superstar to Super Heroin?
Taylor Swift as Kara Zor-El? I can actually see this happening we need a strong super hero girl on the big screen and with wonder women lost somewhere in Hollywood limbo looks like its Supergirl to lead the charge.
Sources say the singing sensation Taylor Swift is up for the lead role as Supergirl in Supergirl The Love Story. WHAT?? a love story… hmmm something smells a little fishy here, Hollywood producers are reportedly very interested in Taylor playing the Girl of Steel for the remake of the 1984 movie, which was actually a big flop at the box office.
An industry insider says,
Hollywood is short of female heroes and the time is right for a new Supergirl. A number of young stars are being mentioned for the title role in a Supergirl movie and possible TV spin-off and Taylor is top of that list. She has all the right elements to be a positive role model to young girls.
My guess is I just don’t know how well she would do in her own stand alone movie… we haven’t seen much of her acting luckily she has a part is the upcoming Valentine’s Day, out this February. I guess after this performance we will see if she is ready to dawn the red and blue.
