So, 2 weeks ago, Clash of the Titans director Louis Leterrier was on a short list of possible directors for Marvel Studio’s upcoming Avengers film. Well, the other day, LA Times found out another name on that short list. A man who by all counts, should be much bigger than he currently is. That man, is Joss Whedon. While he is confirmed to be on the short list, Marvel as made it known that he hasn’t been picked yet.
I for one, like this choice. Whedon has shown he clearly gets the Marvel way of doing things. His run on Runaways and Astonishing X-Men were some of the greatest pieces of comic work in the last decade! Hell, watch Serenity and you can see the man knows action as well! I say that Whedon would be on par or better than Jon Favreau. Also, it would be a nice FUCK YOU to DC and Warners for kicking him off of Wonder Woman.
