David Glanzer, Director of Marketing & PR for Comic-Con International sat down with a local San Diego radio station to talk about the possible move of the iconic convention.
There were several interesting points that came up during the interview. The one I was glad to hear was that Las Vegas, NV is officially not in the running. If there is one place that you do not want to house a comic convention that caters to families and people under the age of 21, Vegas would be it. He also touches on the current re-negotiation with San Diego to extend the contract until 2015 and some of what’s involved with the actual decision making process. Lastly (what stood out to me) was that there will be a decision as to Comic-Con’s fate within the next 30 days. It’s a great interview but sadly Mr. Glanzer could only give up so much information because it is a process that is still on the works. Check out the audio interview below.
