Seems Vaughn knows a good thing when he see’s it.

SHOOOOCKKINGGGG. Matthew Vaughn has brought aboard X-Men First Class the woman who’s been responsible for the screenplays of his last two films, Stardust, and Kick Ass. Jane Goldman.  Aintitcool learned this from Jane’s husband, Johnathan Ross confirmed it via Twitter (where else?) that she’ll be jotting down the escapades of a young Jean Grey, Scott Summers and so forth.  This is both expected and a little surprising at the same time.  Josh Schwartz, of the OC fame, not only wrote the original comic, but wrote the original screenplay.  Part of Vaughn coming aboard and Fox announcing the June 2011 date was that the script was set to go.  I guess not.  So far, it’s not known if Mrs. Goldman will be rewriting Schwartz’s script, polishing it, or her and Vaughn starting over from scratch.  If that last bit is the case, then the two have very little time, as production is suppose to get underway by the end of the summer, if they want to make the 2011 date.

I trust Vaughn.  So far, the man hasn’t let me down with anything he’s made personally. So if the old team can work their magic a third time, then by all means, go a head..  Couldn’t be worse than ht.
