WHAT?
So, this popped up on Youtube- 8 minutes of what looks like a Mortal Kombat reboot. Dark Knight style. It’s got Michael Jai White as Jax. Jeri Ryan as Sonya? Reptile and Baraka have real world origins? Scorpion! Word going around that this is one of two things. The intro to a relaunch game. Or a demo real for the long gestating proposed reboot of the film series Warner Bros has been trying to get off the ground for a long time. Either way, I think it’s fucking awesome.

Yeah, I loved Mortal Kombat growing up. Hell, I still proclaim that the first film is the closest (next to Silent Hill) that a movie adapting a game has ever gotten to getting the material right. Though, unlike Street Fighter, I’m more mailable with Mortal Kombat. I mean, I watched even the syndicated show Mortal Kombat Conquest, and enjoyed it’s cheesiness. So changing things up Dark Knight style, I think works for MK. The only thing know is to know, WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS? If it’s a fan film, it’s the greatest fan film ever made!
