At the Marvel panel on Saturday, it was only a mild surprise that Mark Ruffalo was on stage.He joined his fellow Avengers; Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) , Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) , Chris Evans (Captain America) , Chris Hemsworth (Thor), and the guy who I say should be in every movie ever: Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury). The only real surprise was Jeremy Renner as the newest Hawkeye. Nice!
We speculated before that Joaquin Phoenix and Mark Ruffalo were both vying for the role but it always seemed a lot more likely for someone like Ruffalo to play Bruce Banner especially as Phoenix decided his acting career didn’t matter anymore and went all kinds of crazy and tried to become a serious “rapper”. And hey, if I had it my way Edward Norton would certainly still be playing The Hulk again but Ruffalo is an extremely good side choice and replacement and I look forward to what he has to bring to the table in The Avengers. Here’s to hoping it doesn’t suck! (I’m crossing my fingers).
