Well, you never want to hear about this kind of thing.
It seems that a female extra – not a stuntwoman, as is being reported by some media outlets – has been seriously injured on a Chicago set during the production of Transformers 3, and is currently in critical condition, according to the local ABC news channel.
Twenty-four-year-old Gabriella Cedillo, and aspiring actress who regularly works as an extra, was injured during an action shot int he production. She was apparently riding in a car being towed by another production vehicle, when the tow cable snapped, and pierced through her vehicle, and struck her in the head.
The hospital holding Cedillo, and both Paramount Pictures and Dreamworks Productions are not commenting at this time.
