This girl is hot right now.
Sources over at Entertainment Weekly are reporting that Sony is looking into having two main female leads in the Spider-Man reboot and, among a long list of hot young actresses, their eyes are on Alice In Wonderland’s Mia Wasikowska as Gwen Stacy and the lovely and vivacious Emma Stone as fiery red head Mary Jane Watson.
It’d be a nice change to have some spunk and personality in a Peter Parker love interest for once. Previous actresses, Kirsten Dunst and Bryce Dallas Howard, just didn’t cut it for me in the first three flicks. Plus, Ms. Stone has been pleasantly surprising audiences with hits such as Superbad, Zombieland, The Rocker, and most recently, Easy A, which took in an impressive $18 million last weekend.
Mia Wasikowska’s career is looking pretty promising as well with the very successful Alice In Wonderland and her latest indie flick, The Kids Are All Right, did decently well in the box office and received critical praise. However, I find her acting a little wooden but perhaps one shouldn’t be too picky for a Spider-Man movie. Wasikowska’s involvement in this sounds a bit fishy anyway because she seems more involved in independent films.
