At long last, we finally have more than still frame photos of what might have been.
CNN has an excerpt of new documentary footage from the upcoming Blu-Ray release of the Back To The Future trilogy showing actor Eric Stoltz in action as Marty McFly. If you don’t know the story by now (sigh…), the short version: the two Bobs (Zemeckis and Gale) wanted Michael J. Fox, he was unavailable due to Family Ties‘ shooting schedule, they hired Stoltz, Stoltz wasn’t getting the ‘vibe’ they wanted, they made the painful decision after five weeks of shooting to let Stoltz go, and managed to cast Fox after all.
