Great Scott! The RealmCast was in attendance for opening night of this awesome event.
There probably isn’t another film out there that people just go full on nerd-gasim over than Back To The Future. We here at The RealmCast love this film and all its sequels, yes even part 3. On November 5th at the Puente Hills Mall in the City of Industry, CA (original filming location of the Twin Pines Mall) scores of BTTF fans joined together to celebrate this great film. Fans came from not only California, but as far away as Texas. We even met a few fans who flew in from England!
Needless to say the night was magical. DeLorean owners from different states came down to show off there prized possessions and have fans take photos with them. All types of DeLoreans were in attendance and many were tricked out to look amazingly close to the film cars. The night started off with an awesome introduction by one of the organizers (who was dressed like Marty McFly) and then followed by a proclamation given by the Mayor of the City of Industry declaring November 5th Back To The Future Day. The proclamation was then accepted by our favorite Mayor of Hill Valley, Goldie Wilson himself Donald Fullilove.
The night concluded with a screening of BTTF and there was even a live reenactment of the famous Libyan chase scene from the film! This was amazingly accurate. The only sad part was the fact that the mall was still open and the chase could not take place on the original route that the film did. Regardless, everyone had a blast and it was nice to see younger fans cheering for Marty McFly and Doc Brown.
The festivities continue all over California until November 12th. For more info check out the official site at www.weregoingback.com.
Special thanks go to the organizers for having us. You can check out our gallery below from that night.
