Podcast episode 50: Good For What Ails You

A big pat on our own backs for making it to the Golden Lasso that is fifty shows.  And they said it wouldn’t last!  Aside from the usual shenanigans, we celebrated with our annual Top Ten Films Of The Year segment.

Each one of our lists is posted below, but this year we thought we’d employ a ‘metacritic’-style points system to see what our collective, hive-mind picks would be, weighted for where on our individual lists certain films placed.  For instance, if one of us chose a film as our #1, that film was awarded ten points, and a number ten pick was awarded one point, and so on.  Furthermore, half points were assigned if a film made an honorable-mentions list, which was mostly used to break up ties.  A film had to be listed on at least two RealmCasters’ lists in order to be c0nsidered, so for instance, a film mentioned once with ten points could not dethrone a collective pick that totaled less than ten.  Also, it should be noted that since Cesar chose not to order his picks, an average of five points was assigned to each of his picks.  Alas, The RealmCast’s Top Ten Films Of 2010 are (point totals):
