Yvonne Strahovski front runner for Ms. Marvel in Avengers?

Chalk this up to rumor, but what if it were oh so true? Does she fit the part? Don’t get me wrong Yvonne is very nice on the eyes. Hell, she’s damn near the only reason I even tune into Chuck anymore. However having been an avid Ms. Marvel reader, I’m left wondering if she “fits” the part. The majority of the reference I like to go by is the beautiful art by Greg Horn. She’s got a very slim athletic figure where Ms. Marvel is a bit more curvy (for lack of a better term).  All that aside, the Yvonne Strahovski fansite Starhotski.com is claiming that a source inside Marvel Studios has sent them a scoop regarding the studios’ interest in the actress for the role of Ms. Marvel.

Though it’s not often that we get the scoop on anything here, I’ve just received information from a protected source inside Marvel that points to Yvonne Strahovski being cast in the upcoming Avengers movie as Ms. Marvel.

Could it be true?

I, for one, have long hoped to see Yvonne crop up in a comic book movie. She’s got the action chops to easily pull it off and it was really just a matter of time before the right character came along.

Starhotski.com had been actively campaigning to get the actress cast or at least considered for the role of Ms. Marvel/ Carol Danvers for quite some time. Regardless of the outcome I would love to see Yvonne in a Ms. Marvel costume. Perhaps on the next Chuck Halloween episode? Hint, hint Chuck writers.
