The wonders of test footage. I would love to one day just sift through studio archives to see what could have been. I have a feeling there are thousands of hours of clips like this one, just sitting around, gathering dust. What clip am I talking about? Oh, just one from the THUNDERCATS MOVIE!
Yes, just a few years ago, Warner Bros was in the process of making a CG Thundercats film. The movie was all set to go until Warner’s pulled the plug on it to pursue a new animated series. A few bits of concept art made their way on to the net, but Flixist.com got something better. This two minutes of test footage, while not complete, gives us a look at what Warner Bros. was aiming at with the film. Take a look.

Verdict? Eh. This is just test footage, and nothing was final, but the tone felt a little off. If this was the final product, I would have been disappointed. Instead, it’s a wonderful video oddity for the ages.
