I’m assuming these are to enhance your Transformers viewing experience?

First off thanks to /Film for coining the phrase Cine-Mask. Ok, maybe if I was 6 these would enhance my time at the theater…maybe. Here’s the thing though, as we are told repeatedly when we are in a theater and in line for Captain EO or the Terminator Experience,

“These glasses are not safe to wear for general viewing. They are only to be worn for the 3D presentation”.

So being a father myself I pose this question Hasbro/ RealD- Do you honestly believe that children will not continue wearing these “Cine-Masks” long after they’ve left the theater? Are you intentionally trying to damage my child’s vision? Forget about the ocular health concerns, how about this? If i should I shell out the $10 bucks for one of these will my child’s ticket at the theater be reduced to regular price? I mean we already have the glasses for him why should we have to pay more? Will these work on the IMAX presentation? Supposedly you need ultra special glasses for IMAX. Will there be IMAX grade versions of these “Cine-Masks”? Interesting how my questions are both ridiculous and spot on at the same time huh? Fatherhood and common sense will do that to you.

That’s what grinds my gears.
