So far, better than the movie.
Well, Nick did one thing right. They green lit a follow up to Avatar the Last Airbender last year. We got the first image from Comic Con and know that this new series will be a 12 part mini series that follows the Avatar that succeeds Aang. We know it’s a girl named Korra and she’s from the Water Tribe. We know that she has to learn airbending from Aang and Katara’s kid. Also, we know that the show takes place in a new mega city that has a steampunk vibe to it. Finally, the show starts this fall on Nick.
Wall Street Journal was gracious enough to give us the first look at the main character, Korra, doing a lot of Avatar style bending. Looks tits! Sad to see that this show is only 12 eps long, but I have enough faith that it’ll wash the filthy taste of the movie out of my mouth.

Update: Heres the list of the cast as well
Janet Varney as KORRA
Kiernan Shipka as JINORA
Daniel Dae Kim as HIROSHI SATO
David Faustino as MAKO
Sheychelle Gabriel as ASAMI
Lance Hendrickson as LIEUTENANT
JK Simmons as TENZIN
JK Simmons and Lance Hendricson are always good things. Bud from Married with Children is playing the name sake of Uncle Iroh? Eh, weirder things have happend. Jin from Lost is also there. And as for Korra, well, she’s a comedian, writer and current girlfriend of one Chris Hardwick. Honestly, as I said before, I have total faith in the show’s creators for their choices. After all, friggin Rufio was Zuko. Avatar: Legend of Korra airs this fall on Nick
