We finally get another trailer that isn’t only shown at some comic convention. But does it make you any more eager to see this movie?
In this trailer we get a lot of what we’ve already been shown and some new goodies. With WB hitting the panic button a couple weeks back and throwing another $9 mill into the budget to get the effects done, what’s the new stuff we got handed to us today?
- we see what appears to be some even more polished effects shots
- with these new effects shots we get to see Hal Jordan generate some new weapons like a sword and flamethrower
- we get our first “on camera” look at one of the Guardians
- we finally get to hear Kilowog speak voiced by one Michael Clark Duncan
- we get our first look at Amanda Waller
- we see more of Parallax
- and we see the Yellow Lantern/ Sinestro Corps logo
This is definitely a better trailer than the previous one and looks more polished than the footage that was released from WonderCon, but I’m still not jazzed up to see this movie. Don’t get me wrong I am a HUGE DC Comics fan, and to that extent a Green Lantern fan. I grew up with the Superfriends for Xenu’s sake. They haven’t convinced me yet to be there at midnight, but I’ll still check it out opening weekend sometime. Judge for yourself.
