There was a bloody good time had by all!
The LAX Marriot hotel housed some of horrors biggest names over the weekend, and of course yours truly was there and in the thick of things.
The line was out the door as I arrived to Creation’s annual Weekend of Horrors event. Fans of all types of horror were in attendance. Whether it be foreign exploitation films or regular old fashioned slashers, fans clamored to meet many of there favorite stars. The vendors were polite and very helpful never pushing you to buy any item unless you really wanted it. This aspect of the convention really surprised me as a fan because most conventions vendors are just trying to make a quick buck.
Right away you could tell it was going to be a busy weekend. All the stops for this edition were pulled out as fans were treated to talks with guests the likes of Lance Henriksen, John Carpenter, Tippi Hedren, Asia Argento, Ted Raimi, Tom Savini, Sergio Stivaletti, and many more.
Panels for the weekend covered Nightmare on Elm Street, a Demons cast reunion, and a very impressive and in depth Halloween cast reunion panel with the horror master himself, John Carpenter.
If this wasn’t enough there was a costume contest, zombie walk on Saturday morning, a tattoo contest judged by Tom Savini and a Grindhouse film fest. The vendors room was a sight to see as a horror fan could pick up that rare Halloween poster print or an original shooting script for Dawn of The Dead. You name it, they had it.
Check out our mini gallery below and see you folks next time. Be sure to stay here as we will bring you exclusive interviews with the creators of Millennium Bug, Zombiewood Pines and a special interview with Terry Alexander of Day of the Dead fame.

The Re-Animator and a helpful nurse think you need a shot.

Be ready for The Millennium Bug.

Some awesome displays were in abundance this weekend. Here’s one of the best.

Terry Alexander who flew “The whirly bird” as John in George Romero’s Day of The Dead.

Nancy Loomis who played Annie in John Carpenter’s Halloween and her on screen father Sheriff Brackett played by Charles Cyphers.

One of the best in the business, Mr. Tom Savini.

The fine folks of Zombiewood Pines were happy to talk to me about a possible apartment for rent in their neighborhood.

My good friend and owner of Retro Outlaw clothing, Chris Santoro.

I love me some heads.

The best damn artificial human I have ever met, Mr. Lance Henriksen promoting his new book “Not bad for a human”.

The fine folks of Bleedfest who promote women in horror. Look for it starting June 5 this year.

A very ghoulish gallery of portraits.

Yours truly with the ever illusive Brad Bruce of RedEleven Films.

The reigning scream queen herself, miss Danielle Harris.

And of course Michael was there to show his support as well.

I had to sit and chat with my bud Chucky. Seems he wanted to get a certain point across to me.

Thanks for having me Creation. And I’m looking forward to next Weekend of Horrors. See ya there.
