EW strikes again!
There’s been a bit of clatter about the casting of Jennifer Lawrence as the lead in Gary Ross’s adaptation of Hunger Games. Now, not having read the books (I grew up on Battle Royale), I’m not too sure how close to the books these images are. I do know that there was a bunch of bitching and moaning about casting the normally blond, white Lawrence as the “olive skinned” Katniss.
Guess what! Hollywood magic went to work, and bam! The normally clean blond Jennifer Lawrence is now the gruffed up, olive skin Katniss. So people bitching about race casting in what was clearly a undefined race.. Shut up!
