Yet another warm and genuine talent in the voiceover game.
Michael McConnohie is yet another huge name in the animation and voiceover industries. While he has done his share of western cartoons, including the Marvel/Sunbow series Transformers, G.I. Joe, and Visionaries; The Real Ghostbusters, and Avatar: The Last Airbender, he has specialized in anime dubs over the last twenty or so years, both as an actor and director. The list is just staggering – seriously, just go to his Wikipedia page to see what he’s done, and save me from carpel tunnel syndrome. He even worked for Warner Brothers and DreamWorks for a decade, supervising the foreign dubs on their films, and of course his pipes are all over the world of video games.
We were able to meet up with Mr. McConnohie (pron. “Mick-Con-A-High”) at BotCon 2011, where he was engaging fans at both autograph sessions and panels with his roles of Tracks and Cosmos. Listen to the interview below, and please check out our interviews with Flint Dille and Neil Ross, also from BotCon.
Also, as mentioned in the interview, be sure to check out his work on the Doc Savage audio book Python Isle at Radio Archives.
