Huzzah! This is good for Transformers fans and anime fans alike.
A while back, we reported that Shout! Factory, in their whirlwind flurry of 80s cartoon reissues, was planning on releasing the Japan-exclusive Transformers series Headmasters, and was considering following it up with its sequel series, Masterforce, and Victory. These Japan-exclusive episodes follow the events of the classic G1 cartoon series, albeit in a more traditional anime style, and featured many characters and toys exclusive to the Land Of The Rising Sun.
Full confirmation, in the form of a press release, is evident below, and we certainly hope Headmasters sells well enough to warrant the issuing of the other two series. So get out that pocketbook, and order some robot fun for your tv! Cover art available here.
I’ve already got a copy – Shout! was selling them early at BotCon – so look for a review here soon.
