No Avengers for you.

Last week, word got out that several of the major studios will be pulling out of Comic Con this year.  Disney, Warner’s and several others have said..”eh..fuck it” to making a big splash at Comic Con.  I wrote a piece about how this is a good thing.  Well, add Marvel Studios to that list of people not showing up at Hall H this year.  So that puts the kibosh on seeing anything Avengers related.  But let’s be honest.  Avengers will only have been filming for about two months by the time Con rolls around.  There might not be much to even bother seeing.

What dose this mean?  Might mean less people bothering to show up at Con this year.   I kinda hope it dose.  Comic Con announced 1500 four day passes today that were returned.  The main deadline for returns was Monday, and this news is probably a deal breaker for allot of people who can’t get their full refund till after September. There is rumors though that Disney is saving the big Avengers reveal for the D23 Expo in August.

That doesn’t mean Marvel won’t be there.  They do make comics, and thus, will have their mega booth up.  Captain America also debuts that weekend, and they plan on having a big opening for off site during the weekend.  It’s a changing of the tide people.
