Apparently this is the newer Superman?
Oh the hoopla over Superman. There has been so much “GAH” over Man of Steel. People complaining about Zack Snyder, about Zod and now something else for people to complain about- Superman’s tights. That the pants are blue! THE PANTS ARE BLUE!
Yes it appears that New 52 sytle Superman (who’ll be well into his second year by the time this film hits theaters) has had some inspiration on this new movie Superman, or perhaps it’s the other way around. Either way Superman doesn’t have his red underwear on. Damn shame I know, but I say who cares. The whole suit pretty much looks like the iconic Superman outfit, so if a few bits of red are missing fine by me.
In other set leaks, here’s the first look at the outfit of Faora, Zod’s right hand woman played by Antje Traue.
The Man of Steel production will continue in Illinois for awhile, including a stint in Chicago, before moving on to Canada and then to Southern California’s Edwards Air Force Base. Michael Shannon and Antje Traue are playing the Kryptonian baddies, while Amy Adams is the new Lois Lane. Russell Crowe and Julia Ormond are Superman’s biological parents, with Diane Lane and Kevin Costner as the Kents. Laurence Fishburne is Daily Planet editor Perry White, and Harry Lennix and Christopher Meloni are military-types.
Superman: Man of Steel is set to hit theaters on June 14th, 2013.
I understand why they got rid of the underwear, but maby there should be a little more red put around the middle. It’s just a little too much blue. That being said, i wish the director all the best on this project. We need a good Superman movie!
