Unfortunately they don’t cover all the bases with this initial response. This morning I finally received an email from the Wizard’s PR contact, Jerry Milani regarding the Los Angeles Comic Con cancellation. I contacted Wizard over two weeks ago and prior to receiving this email thought I would never get a response.
Below is the email response I received:
Thank you for your interest.
Wizard has announced that it’s Los Angeles Comic Con event, originally scheduled for September 24-25, 2011, has been postponed. Several pending strategic partnerships that will enhance the Wizard World experience have necessitated the rescheduling of the event.
There you have it folks, (as far as I know) the first official response from Wizard regarding the Los Angeles Comic Con cancellation. What I wish they would have also addressed are the several people that are demanding refunds, as they have yet to be told if their tickets will even be valid when a new date is chosen. There was also no response in regards to the several people demanding refunds. The final thing I had hoped would be addressed was the cancellation of all the other “Comic Cons” Wizard had initially put on their calendar. I guess we’ll wait and see if some sort of official announcement is made in the next few day.
