What’s next for Marvel studios?

Something.. inhuman?

Avengers is drawing ever closer.  Which then begs the question of all of the interne that isn’t happy with what they’re getting.  What’s next?  What is potentially years off that we can all get worked up for next?  Marvel says fear not!  The studio has a few projects already in the pipeline that they plan on working on after Avengers. In an interview with Enternatinment weekly, Kevin Feige

Iron Man 3:  Shane Black is prepping work on the thrid film that will re team him with Kiss Kiss Bang Bang star Robert Downey Jr

Thor 2:  Plans to start shooting next year, no director is attached yet.

Ant Man: Apparently this is still a go.  Edgar Wrigth and Joe Cornish (Attack the Block) have got the second draft done and it seems to be only a manner of time now.

Now for the out of the left feild projects:

Gardiens of the Galaxy:  Yes, there’s talks of taking one of Marvel‘s most mediocer teams from the 80s (that was rebooted a few years ago to be a bit more badass) to the big screen.  This might mean we’ll see Rocket Racoon and Groot in live action form!

Inhumans:  The not mutant, mutant roayl family of Marvel.  Originally back drop characters that faced off against the Fantastic Four, they came into their own in the last decade or so.  Not to mention that the idea of an ensamble cast were the leader can’t talk, lest his wisper destroy his home, to be interesting.  Of the two projects, Inhumans would be my choice.  Though you need a really good damn story that dosen’t invovle the FF or X-Men to back them up.

As for talks of Dr Strange or Luke Cage.  The piece had not mention of them, but I doulen’t rule them out.  Marvel has wanted to  up their production rate with smaller films, and Luke Cage would be around the mid level budget range film that they could do.  None the less, it’s going to be an interesting next few years from Marvel.
