It’s that time of year when all things that go bump in the night, come out to play.
Where all things dark and twisted gets it’s recognition on being part of our lives here in the living world. And most important, it’s time when the mazes to the underworld open up to give us all a frighteningly good time.
Here’s a list of many offerings to enjoy on this Halloween season in and around Southern California (Just click the link for exact details and prices)….
The Empty Grave- One of the OC’s premiere Haunted Houses just walking distance from Disneyland in Anaheim’s Garden Walk. This Haunted House is so good, even the Haunt Monsters from Knott’s Scary Farm get together for a night to venture into this maze.
Coffin Creek- The legend of Coffin Creek has it’s beginnings in 1938 when 14 days of continuous rainfall flooded the Santa Ana River. In Corona they found 13 coffins floating in the river which is believed to have come from an abandoned graveyard in Ontario. Venture into the creek bed if you dare!!!
Boothill- This is Orange County’s most elaborate yard display held in Irvine. It is free for all but donations are accepted. All donations goes to CHOC (Children’s Hospital of Orange County)
The Scream Zone- Held down at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in San Diego County, The Scare Zone offers up 3 scary offerings for your terrifying delights. The Haunted Hayride, The Chamber, and The House of Horror.
Dark Harbor- Come venture into 2 mazes held in Long Beach’s own famous real haunted luxury liner, The Queen Mary. Going down below decks into the bowels of this paranormal hotspot is creepy enough when it’s not Halloween. Just try exploring the depths when it’s full of monsters. Who knows if all the spooky happenings will make something real manifest itself?
Human Roast House- Ever wonder just what made certain people just tick? Enter into the home of Serial Killer Austin Reed Trebbe in Downtown Riverside and see why certain people should just not have just ever been born.
Nightmare- A Haunted Attraction at the L.A. County Fairplex in Pomona, offers 5 deadly mazes as you escape the psychotic farmer Pitchfork.
Field of Screams-The Haunted Stadium- This event, held in Lake Elsinore’s The Storm Stadium offers 3 exciting mazes and 2 scare zones.
Castle Dark- It’s about time that a little Amusement Park in Riverside that got a huge assist from Walter Knott in it’s beginnings to follow in it’s big cousin from Buena Park’s footsteps. Castle Park has fun for the kiddies during the day but at night transforms itself into a nightmare to try and scare the daylights out of you.
Old Town Haunt- Everything may be coming up roses in Pasadena on New Year’s Day but this time of year, everything is coming up frights and scares.
L.A. Haunted Hayride- Come venture into the woods of Griffith Park on a terrifying 25 minute ride through Hell!! This event has been reported by the media to be the most terror filled Haunted Maze in Southern California.
Ghost Ship- From the creators of the L.A. Haunted Hayride comes a new thrill to Haunted Mazes. Come to Newport Beach to enjoy aboard the 3 Level Ghost Ship on your 75 minute cruise out into the dark unforgiving ocean waters filled with raving lunatics. Must by tickets early. Each cruise is limited to only 400 guests.
Reign of Terror- Reviewed the Best Haunted Attraction in 2010, The Reign Of Terror returns to Thousand Oaks with an all new maze called Blood Manor.
Sinister Pointe- For 14 years Sinister Pointe has been putting on some of the best Haunted Houses around Southern California. Join them in Brea this year for a time you wont soon forget.
Long Beach Zombie Walk IV- Come get your dead on October 29th in Downtown Long Beach for the 4th Annual Zombie Walk.
Long Beach Comic and Horror Convention- Since you’re already planning to be in Long Beach for the Zombie Walk, come by early and stop by the Long Beach Convention Center October 29th-30th for the 3rd Annual Comic Con…BUT this is the first year that they realized that Comic Con happens every year around Halloween, they better tap into the Horror Fans out there as well.
