I don’t get it..
Well, here it is. The first full trailer for the upcoming adaptation of the best selling teen book by Suzanne Collins, The Hunger Games. I’ve never read the books. but from what I’ve read online and how it’s explained to me, it sounds like a white, dystopian version of Battle Royale. Just not as graphic. So I have no frame of reference for how well this trailer compares to the book, but all I know that it stars Mystique from X-Men First Class and Thor’s brother.
To be honest, this looks horribly mediocre. I was given the impression that this is set to be the next big series now that Twilight is wrapping up, but… I don’t know. It appears terribly low budget for what appears to be a grand story that the filmmakers are tyring to tell. The Hunger Games will probably make a decent amount of cash, but I have a feeling that this is going to end up being something akin to Green Lantern. Lot o hype, poor take off. But then again, what do I know.
