Fox Filmed entertainment executive Tom Rothman was cornered by MTV at the Gotham Awards, and was asked about last week’s leak of an early version of the trailer to Prometheus. (We posted it here, but it has been taken down twice, and appears to be gone from the net completely.) The science fiction thriller, directed by Ridley Scott, is essentially a prequel to his 1979 film Alien, but the studio is still playing coy about the whole thing. Also, he doesn’t seem to be too angry about the whole thing, which lends credence to the usual theory that the studio allowed (perhaps even planned?) for such a leak, in an effort to get the film some early net buzz. Here’s what Rothman had to say:
