Camera that shot STAR WARS sells at auction

That’s right – you could have had the device that facilitated A New Hope.

If you had $625,000, that is.  That’s how much the camera, which George Lucas used to shoot the original 1977 Star Wars film, fetched at auction recently.  A Panavision PSR 35mm workhorse was recently restored, and is currently in full working order.  It was put on auction, along with a host of accesories, as a part of a showcase of Debbie Reynolds memorabilia.  How Princess Leias’ mom got ahold of the damn thing is anyone’s guess.
