OG Thundercats at that!
Thundercats is a show that holds a special place for a lot of people. It was one of the best made cartoons of the 80′s. It was good enought to recreate for the modern era with the Cartoon Network version that’s out right now. But let’s got back to that first show. When Ranklin Bass was producing (and a little Japanese animation studio that would become Studio Ghibil was doing the animation). There was art being made. Sadly though, not all of it ever made it to the public.
That is until now. Thanks to some keen people over at the Thundercats.ws boards, a grip of production desgins for charecters and vehicals have gone up. These were done by Jim Meskimen, voice actor and at the time, the only artist working for the small studio. You can see the origins of some known charecters, and some that never made it past the sketch stage. Enjoy!
