Seriously, watch this.
Fan films come and go, but some stay with you. I’m here to tell you that Static Shock Blackout will burrow into your head of how goddamn awesome it is. This little fan/student film looks far better than most movies that end up on store shelves and bittorrent sites. It’s got great production and one thing that most fan/student films lack: ACTING! Not only that, but it’s the little things. I like the pseudo Chronicle opening, and the home made costume, looks home made. Frayed fabric and all.
I think Dwayne McDuffie would have loved this. If you only know Static from the early 2000′s show, check out some of the comics (sadly, the revival isn’t making it past issue 8) This is a Static that everyone can love.
