Entertainment Weekly gives us a first look into NBC’s Reboot of the classic The Munsters. Our resident Horror expert, ZombeeMunkee chimes in with his thoughts on the first look of the Munsters re-imagining.
Although our Asst. Editor Chris Eaton posted this news a few days ago I wanted to share my thoughts on The Munsters Redux. I grew up with show and am excited as anything to catch a glimpse of this show. Not much has been said about this show except a look at some concept art and some casting news. Eddie Izzard is signed on to play “Grandpa” and Charity Wakefield set to star as Marilyn.
The pilot, written by Bryan Fuller and to be directed by Bryan Singer, is described as a reinvention of the 1960s sitcom about a family of “monsters” – vampires, werewolves and Frankenstein – and their “plain” relative (Wakefield) with striking visuals in the vein of Fuller’s ABC dramedy “Pushing Daisies”.
I just hope they keep the awesome theme song…updated of course!!
