DC Nation prepares for the launch of their newest incarnation of the Dark Knight with this Beware the Batman teaser. Over the past decade now we’ve endured a handful of re-imaginings of the Dark Knight we know as Batman. Some might say it’s too much for a fanboy to handle. I think with each announcement came a wave of fandom backlash. Why? Because just as we got settled and totally into one version of Batman they come over and tell us it’s going away and they have something “new” coming. For myself the hardest one of those pills to swallow was Brave and the Bold. I was dead set against that show. Then one day my 5 year old son was watching it so I sat down with him to check it out. Turns out that incarnation of Batman was not only funny, but a great throw back to the old campy Batman days. The other thing that was great was the show was riddled with guest stars from the DCU. This was a great idea on WB’s part. I mean, they made Aquaman popular again. Flash forward to today, Beware the Batman is coming. Although I’m not too keen on the unimpressive CGI animation I will give it a shot, but so far Green Lantern hasn’t won me over. Fingers crossed.
