Looks like opening day for Avengers will be the epic of epicness! The great reveal came from Twitter user @dragon_316_ca today that the 3rd (and likely final) trailer for The Dark Knight Rises will debut with Marvel’s The Avengers on May 4th.
The word comes officially from Warner Bros. by way of their WB411 website which is a proprietary site for exhibitors (movie theaters and what not). There will apparently be two versions of a trailer 3: one will be attached to the Avengers 2D/ REAL3D showings and an IMAX trailer will be attached to the 3D IMAX Avengers showings.
The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20th 2012 and stars Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Gary Oldman as Jim Gordon, Tom Hardy as Bane, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake and Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate.
