San Diego Comic Con launches with tomorrow’s Preview Night and Kotobukiya will make its presence known with announcements and giveaways throughout the event. Some of their most interesting offerings will include three lovely ladies from the Marvel Universe, which are all extremely limited and guaranteed to please any collectibles fan. First up is the Marvel Comics X-23 (X-Force Edition) statue.
This 6 inch tall sculpture is presented in Marvel Bishoujo 1/7th scale on a terrain base and is an SDCC exclusive. Attendees of the con get the very first opportunity to purchase this beauty, which is limited to 1000 pieces worldwide. It is priced at $60 and will be available at Kotobukiya booth #2601. While you’re there, check out the Marvel Comics Storm (White Costume version)…
This piece stands at 12 inches tall (in 1/7 scale) on a stylized base of tumultuous air currents and is also priced at $60. This statue is limited to 2000 pieces and is being sold for the very first time at SDCC.
The final (and my favorite) statue of this trio is the Marvel Comics Black Widow (Covert Ops Gray Costume Edition).
Sculpted by Masahiro Takahashi (from an illustration by renowned Japanese illustrator Shunya Yamashita) this recreation of Natasha Romanova features a new color deco, Hawkeye mask on the base and interchangeable hands. It is limited to 2000 pieces, is presented in 1/7 scale, as well, and sells for $65. You can purchase this one exclusively at the Action Figure Xpress booth (#3345).
So there you have it. Be sure to stop by the Kotobukiya booth for more information on these and other amazing collectibles and ask about their daily raffles and trivia challenges, as they are giving away some mind-blowing prizes. Enjoy the con!
