A real nice day.
The first full day of Comic Con has come and gone. Verdict- Fantastic. While the weather in San Diego leaves much to be desired with the humidity and what not, the floor of the show was something unaffected. As usual, the people have turned out in masses. Yet, as I stated in regards to preview night, there wasn’t as much of the madness of the previous years. Perhaps my 19 plus years of attending this show have made me aware of what I want to do, and I got a lot done.
Meeting Genndy Tartakovsky and grabbing those show exclusives. Hell, I even spent some time grabbing freebies. Why? Because I was able to. Lines weren’t ridiculously long, but a manageable long. Mega booths such as WB’s Hobbit and DC Comics were navigated with ease.
Overall, I did something that a lot of people don’t do at this show anymore: Wander. I have to say, it’s somewhat refreshing not having to sit in panels I have no interest in (coughtwilightcough). I’d recommend it to everyone who sees this show as work. You may just find yourself (perhaps) having some fun.
