SDCC: A glimps at Legendary’s GODZILLA

Damn Hobbits.

If you read my Iron Man 3 post on Saturday, you might know by now that I missed the Warner Brothers/ Legendary panel by roughly 200 people.  Turns out the Fire Marshall wouldn’t let anyone else into the panel even if people where leaving.  People packed it mostly for The Hobbit, and secondly for Man of Steel.  But I think it’s safe to assume that Pacific Rim and Godzilla stole the show.

While there’s really nothing out on Pacific Rim from the panel (Guillermo said nothing new till the end of the year)  Godzilla on the other hand didn’t make it out quite as gingerly.

The trailer was shown when director Gareth Edwards came out and pretty much, as I was told by people actually in the room (the bastards), that the whole damn hall shook from the pure epic of it all.   After a brief Q & A, they showed the trailer one last time, and someone snapped this shot:

This is definitely NOT the Sony Godzilla.  When I heard Thomas Tull talk about acquiring Godzilla, I knew that Legendary was going to do the film justice.  Looking at this silhouette, Legendary is finally going to make the epic Godzilla film that I’ve been waiting for since I was 4 years old.

I just wish i could have been there to see it.  Now I’m angry again, I’m off to hit something.
