Did you miss the Walking Dead Escape experience at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con? No worries, Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo is bringing the Zombie Apocalypse to Los Angeles!
Back on August 22nd Comikaze Expo teased something zombie related on their Facebook page, but I don’t think anyone expected this. On their website now, are details for what appears to be a zombie survivor obstacle course called the Zombie Apocalypse.
It looks as if there are still more details coming, but some of the basics are up so you have an idea of what the apocalypse will be like.
From the looks of it you will be able to purchase a ticket to either be a Survivor or a Zombie. Prices for each of those tickets will be announced at a later date.
It will be interesting to see what Comikaze Expo sets their price point at. When The Walking Dead did their obstacle course at Comic-Con the price to be a Survivor was $75.00. There were three different levels of pricing for Walkers (aka zombies) which also refunded a better portion of that initial ticket fee 48 hours after Comic-Con had ended. Ideally because they wanted to be sure their zombie labor would be committed to their 8 hour shift. I’m also curious to see if people who purchase Survivor tickets will have the ability to become a zombie should it be found that they have been “infected” by the time reach the end of the obstacle course.

Survivor:
The Comikaze Zombie Apocalypse is a 75,000-sqft survival course infested with zombies! You will be chased and terrorized through a large snaking obstacle course – Only 4,000 people will survive! Will you be among the living? Crawl, climb, and slide your way to safety from some of the most ferocious zombies that want your brains! This performance/event is not recommended for children under 12.
Zombie:
Ever dream of eating brains? Now is your chance! Get turned into a real-undead zombie by professional FX artists and terrorize survivors to your heart’s content. Chase and infest spectators through our 75,000 sqft (yes, you heard that correctly: 75,000 square feet) obstacle course. All zombies must arrive two hours early for important zombie training and makeup application. You are required to torment individuals for two hours before being let into the expo!
Rules & regulations:
All who enter (survivors and zombies) must sign a waiver at the zombie check-in. Those who refuse cannot participate in the Comikaze Zombie Apocalypse.
All zombies must be 18+ years old to participate.
The Comikaze Zombie Apocalypse is not recommended for children under 12 years of age. It is a high scare, high startle, and physical content experience. There will be no refunds after a ticket is purchased and a patron has entered the Apocalypse.
The Comikaze Zombie Apocalypse is not recommended for people with heart, knee or back problems, pregnant women, or anyone who has an affliction that is made worse by fear, physical exertion or anxiety. Also, this event is not recommended for anyone with health issues that can be made worse or aggravated by doing this course and/or any other form of participation. Enter at your OWN RISK.
