Sony went to town today on a lot of films. Let’s go down the list of ring around the release date:
Robocop: The in production remake has been bumped from early August 2013, to Bursary 7th 2014. Right before my birthday! More than likely it will do far better there than in the late summer.
In it’s slot of August 9th, Neil Blomkamp’s Elysium moves in. The footage shown at Comic Con was PHENOMENAL! Looks like Sony is thinking of getting some of that sweet District 9 cash that the late summer brought on. Elysium looks to be even bigger than District 9 and the summer move might be better fit than March.
Finally, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 moves to September 27th, which is around were Hotel Transylvania debuted at.
So that’s the story, and it now we have to wait a little longer for any of these films.
