When word broke that G4 was re branding themselves as more of a GQ esq male channel, one question was asked? What of their most popular shows Attack of the Show and X Play? Guess what! We know now!
THEY’RE GETTING CANCELLED. Ok, that was a little harsh on X Play’s part, but Attack of the Show… yeah, don’t let that door hit you on the ass on your way out. Seeing as the new network will be launching early next year, they’re going to let the two shows run out till through the end of December. So you have a few months to mourn until the end.
There was once novelty to Attack of the Show and G4 in general, but it lost all of it for me when A: They really brought in a douchey sense to Comic Con and their inescapable black hole of a booth somehow took precedence at the show B: Olivia Mun finally realized she could do better and took off. Web shows have pretty much made AOTS fairly pointless and their coming to an end is a few years over due if you ask me.
Now, when the Douche Network that’s coming out of G4 fails to find an audience in the first year, then I’m really going to be laughing at how bad NBC continues to fumble their channels.
