To many, the idea of a Lego movie sounds like nothing more than a cheap advertising shill for a toy line. But to a kid who grew up in the 80/90s when most of the great cartoons where nothing more than commercials, a Lego movie reeks of “potential”.
It doesn’t hurt that the guys that made Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and one of Robot Chicken’s main writers are at the helm either. Still, many seemed coy about a Lego movie. You go and watch the first trailer below and tell me what you think after that.
AWESOME! Pure and simple. This movies looks amazing. From the stop motion look to the cast of characters to the jokes, I have a feeling this is going to be the Wreck it Ralph of 2014.
