Remember that awesome retractable lightsabre emerging from your 1977 vinyl-caped Darth Vader figure? What about that yellow knight and his flying ostrich from your favorite Atari 2600 game, Joust? If you were a child of the 70′ or 80′s (or wish you were), you definitely need to plan a trip to the American Icon art show at the iam8bit Gallery in Los Angeles. The exhibit by Jason Brockert opens this Friday, November 18th with a reception frm 7PM-10PM. In addition to his features of vintage Kenner Star Wars and Atari games, Brockert also reminds us of the simpler times of Collecovision, Commodore 64, and a Transformer world that doesn’t yet know the touch of Michael Bay. Stop by www.iam8bit.com for more details.
