As Plague engulfs the land, MTV announces the nominees for the MOVIE AWARDS

by Chris Eaton-

People Andy SambergThis here, is why the public doesn’t get to vote in the Oscars.

While the show is just something fun and is all about  shits and giggles, one has to think that the original spirit of this show died YEARS ago from beating to the head with a duck shaped book end.  Now its all about whoring and trying to stay trendy on a network that use to show Music Videos at one point in the mid 90′s

The show will feature live voting up until the last minute before the sacred GOLDEN POPCORN is handed out.  If you’re so inclined to participate in this mob mentality, you can vote not only at MTV.com, but also on Myspace, Flixster, and IMDB.

To be honest, I’m SHOCKED, shocked I say, that all of the “BEST MOVIE” awards are all from 2008! Normally its whats ever was or is popular between the last Movie Awards and this one. (As is the case with Vin Diesel’s nom for FAST & FURIOUS, a movie that opened little under a month ago)

The show will be hosted by LONELY ISLAND member Andy Samberg and airs Sunday, May 31st on MTV
